Chairman’s Welcome

Madhav SinhaDear Friends and Colleagues:

Welcome to the Second Annual Canadian Quality Congress being held in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the campus of University of Toronto, August 23-25, 2010.

It is a great pleasure welcoming Canadian quality professionals and guests from coast to coast together with an energized crowd of delegates from all over the world. The crowd in Vancouver this past August 2009 gave the Congress its brand name, CQC.

Not only was the first event an opportunity to shine the spotlight on quality, it proved to be a great deed in response to a great need. From the review of responses received after the first Congress, it left no doubt that Canada has taken the right step on the global stage with this CQC initiative.

Total Quality Research Foundation (TQRF) Canada is proud to sponsor the Canadian Quality Congress. We extend our sincere appreciation to all sponsors and supporters of this conference.

The theme of this year’s conference is: Quality and Competitiveness for Sustained Performance. It remains a tremendous educational and networking opportunity. I can’t wait to see energized faces rushing to speak to their topics, crowds buzzing around, trying to extend boundaries and push the quality envelops into uncharted territories where it is needed the most such as in healthcare organizations, supply chain management, in schools, colleges and universities, and in government offices and cyber space quality, to name just a few. Knowledge transfer will remain a very high priority for the conference.

I am confident that you will find both the university campus and the city of Toronto warm and welcoming.

Cordially,
Dr. Madhav Sinha
